St. Patrick’s Day Parade 2012
Saturday March 17 will be a busy day in Pattaya. As well as being the main day at the annual Pattaya Music Festival, the St. Patrick's Day Parade will also take place along the streets of our city.
The success of the 2011 St. Patrick's Day Parade has ensured that the event will now become an annual occasion on the Pattaya social calendar.
Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome has formed an organising committee with members of the local government, Father Ray Foundation and the local Irish community with the aim of working together to produce the largest and best St. Patrick's Day Parade, not just in Thailand but in South East Asia.
This year's event starts at 11 a.m. with a cultural exhibition on the grounds of School Number 8 near the intersection of South Pattaya Road and Second Road. This is where the decorated floats and marching bands will gather before the main parade at 2 p.m.
Making its way north along Second Road, the procession will finish in front of Alcazar Theatre, where the orchestra from The Regents School will perform favorite Irish tunes.
Zoom Pattaya Festival 2012
Zoom Pattaya Festival 2012Thailand’s Biggest Electronic Music and Dance Festival co-hosted by the Department of Intellectual Properties, Tourism Authority of Thailand and Pattaya City.
The event will be held on Bali Hai Beach Pattaya on the 30th and 31st of March 2012. There will be 3 stages, with each stage hosting a distinct music style such as Hip Hop, R&B, House, and Dub Step. More than 50 Djs will participate in the event, featuring Taboo of the Black Eyed Peas, DJ Domination – the world’s best Video DJ winner 2012 – Teddy O, Slick, Eddie Pay and Thailand’s own top DJs Dome Pakorn Lum, Monton Jira, and many notable other personalities.
In order to promote and support young electronic musicians in Thailand, the department has co-organized IP DJ Hunt, where electronic musicians can enter the competition and compete for prizes. The Grand National winner will be the presenter for the Department for one year.
The contest has been held already in Phuket and is coming up in Pattaya on the 30th of March at Bali Hai Pier in Zoom Festival Pattaya 2012.
The festival is organized by Elite Entertainment and Fashion TV, where the highlights will be televised via the world’s No. 1 fashion channel. Don’t miss the 2nd Zoom Festival Pattaya (2012) festival, with the fun starting at 5 pm and running late.

Thai Fight – made in Thailand
Pattaya will play host to some of the world's toughest Muay Thai warriors when the Thai Fight tournament takes place on April 17th 2012.
The competition will be held at Bali Hai Pier from 6pm and is set to be broadcast live on national TV in Thailand as competitors from around the globe engage in fierce yet skilled combat bouts.
Consisting of 16 competitors, past tournaments have featured fighters from Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia as well as Thailand, including the likes of Frankie Giorgi, Jose Barradas, Fabio Pinca, Dongsu Kim and Kem Sitsongpeenong.

Thee Chaiyadej Live At The Soulloungesessions Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya
The legendary singer Thee Chaiyadej performs LIVE at The Soul Lounge, with his band, at Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya on Saturday 10 March 2012 from 11pm onwards.
Known for his soulful, smoky, whiskey voice that is as unique as it is memorable, Thee Chaiyadej performs his signature songs, Home and Lom Hai Jai, and much more. He launched his first album, Why’ in 1995. Two years later, he joined in the highly successful album Bakery Love 3, which was a popular hit and which made him very well known to the geranral Thai audience. Once again, in 1998, he produced and wrote his own songs, 8 out of 12 of which were in English. In 1999, he continued with his impressive output, launched more albums Thee Chaiyadej : Story, the album Past in 2000 and After Brake in 2001.
After a decade, The soulful singer returns with a new album in February 2012, Recoloured, re-interpretations and new versions of his favorites, re-freshed, always soulful, and in his own inimitable manner.
The Soul Lounge at Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya is a new and sexy destination bar created as part of its renovation that was completed in December 2011. It is the venue in Pattaya for cool, soulful and jazzy sounds, in lush and luxurious surrounds where sassy cocktails and perfect small bites are served, with live music during the weekends, and periodic Soul Lounge Session, when a headline live act is invited to play. It started in February 18th, with Burin & the Old School All-Stars.
Tickets are available at THB 500 per person, including one drink, or THB 2,000 for a Bottle Package of one bottle of Chivas with mixer and ice PLUS tickets for 4 person, or THB 980 net per person for free flow whisky, Singha beer or house wine.
